"[At 92Y], the brightest music students in the city show off their latest work."- The New Yorker

On June 23rd, 2012, Tribeca's 92Y music venue was packed to the NYFD's limit, showcasing the final concert of the 2012 LaGuardia New Music Ensemble. The group is a composition collective based out of New York's LaGuardia School for Music and Art, the only publicly funded songwriting seminar in New York City. Led by Juilliard pianist Robert Apostle and run by students, NME is a community of over thirty composers, performers, engineers, and everything in between.

This album, like everything else on this website, goes directly to fund the ensemble. Your purchase will help the ensemble produce more recordings and book more live events. The money does not go into anyone's personal account and does not "fund next year's LaGuardia musical."
